A well-known grocery store is looking for an experienced Bakery Counter Hand join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for assisting customers, and providing high levels of customer service. The ideal candidate will be well presented, organised and friendly with a great work ethic.

What you'll do

This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.

  • Informing customers of regular deals or daily specials
  • Issue change & receipts
  • Process refunds & exchanges
  • Assisting with food preparation
  • Assist with packaging and displaying bakery items attractively and hygienically
  • Maintain a positive attitude by welcoming, greeting and assisting customers
  • Engage with customers, suggesting bakery items, and supporting upselling efforts
  • Maintain a clean and organised bakery counter, contributing to an inviting and appealing display
  • Address customer inquiries and feedback in a respectful and professional manner
  • Help fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Learn the basics of operating cash registers, ensuring precise transaction handling
  • Collaborate with the bakery team to restock shelves and ensure a constant supply of freshly baked goods
